Ultherapy® is a gentle, non-invasive treatment approved by the FDA to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles while tightening, firming and lifting the skin. Through the use of powerful ultrasound waves, the skin’s SMAS layers are targeted, stimulating collagen regrowth. Ultherapy® can achieve similar results to a surgical facelift but without the longer downtimes, higher risks and anesthesia.

When the Ultherapy® ultrasound energy is applied to the skin, it produces Thermal Coagulation Points (TCPs), which help tone the skin while boosting collagen levels. Collagen is important because it is a natural protein that promotes skin suppleness, hydration and a youthful glow, but unfortunately it begins to dwindle as we age. Ultherapy® can help reverse this trend by beautifully firming the complexion with a natural-looking outcome.

  • Confidence restored – Stop hiding behind that scarf
  • No downtime – Continue your daily routine uninterrupted
  • Look younger – Roll back ten years in a matter of hours
  • Non-surgical – No cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin

Medspa Deluxe LA suggests Ultherapy® for anyone whose skin is starting to appear loose or sagging, especially under the chin and around the neck, near the eyelids or around the jaw. Those who have lost a significant amount of collagen will benefit heavily from Ultherapy®.

Ultherapy® is not a substitute for a surgical facelift, but it can help reverse the signs of aging in their early stages, and it can also help prolong the effects of a surgical facelift. Clients should be in good health, both mentally and physically, and have realistic expectations for improvement rather than perfection.

With Ultherapy®, there is simply no downtime. You will be able to get right back to your regular activities such as work, school or leisure. There are no incisions, so there is no scarring to worry about or cover up. Medspa Deluxe LA suggests that you be cautious of spending too much time in the sun and wear an appropriate sunblock, but this advice goes for everyone whether they have undergone Ultherapy® or not.

Is there downtime?

Many patients return to work the next day following their Ultherapy, and even go out to dinner that night. A few patients do experience some mild swelling or black and blue, so don’t get it right before some important work or social function.

Does Ultherapy® hurt?

Ultherapy® was originally taught using only mild analgesics such as Advil. We prefer giving our patients stronger oral sedation, so you will need to have someone to pick you up.

What kind of results should I expect and how long do they last?

Our rule of thumb is that Ultherapy® will give you 25-30% of a facelift for 20% of the price. Treatment results should last one to two years.

Is it true that it works on the same layer of tissue as a surgical facelift?

You can actually see the layers of the face being treated during Ultherapy®. The Ultrasound is focused to heat and tighten the SMAS layer, the same one that we lift for a facelift.
